Puri Jagannadh's first female-centric movie Jyothi Lakshmi Movie Review exclusively at way2movies.com . Lets see if Puri achieves success with this women centric film too in Review Jyothi Lakshmi.

Story:

Jyothi Lakshmi [Charmi Kaur] is a high class prostitute in a brothel house being maintained by Narayan Patwari [Ajay Ghosh], who is also indulged in women trafficking.. Jyothi Lakshmi lives on her own terms and never give a thought on what others feel about her living. One fine night, she meets software professional Satya [Satya Dev], who keeps visiting her every night to spend some quality time. Being possessive about her, Satya makes marriage proposal to Jyothi Lakshmi. Did Jyothi get married? If so, How did she start a new life busting sex racket? Watch Jyothi Lakshmi on big screens to know.

Performances:

Charmi is the drive force of the movie. She gave a insight performance with needed variations. Charmi looks bold and bubbly in sex worker role and the way she turns rebellious in the second half needs special mention.

Satya Dev is just next to Charmi. He steals the show with superb screen presence and bold looks. Satya is a thorough pillar of support to Charmi.

Ajay Ghosh is menacing in the negative role. One of his best and full length character. Tollywood has got one more villain to watch out for.

Brahmanandam, Saptagiri, Sampoornesh, Satyam Rajesh are merely cameos and couldn't make a impact.

Technical Analysis:

Puri Jagannadh has come up with a bold and idealistic storyline that is bluntly showcased without any emotional connect. Screenplay and dialogues are good enough and carry the mood of the film.

Sunil Kashyap's background score elevates the movie, while the songs spoil the flow other than 'Aigiri Nandini'. Item song is a mere waste.

PG Vindha's cinematography is pretty good. Songs are colourfully captured. SR Sekhar's editing is impressive, could've give some fine cuts.

Charmi presents Sri Subha Swetha Films Jyothi Lakshmi with lavish visuals.

Analysis:

It is for the first time Puri Jagannadh made a female centric film. Unlike his other heroines who played glamdols, Charmi has powerful character with appreciative twists and turns in the movie. Puri and Charmi doesn't disappoint with their striking efforts put in with some best performances and good technical team. Even then, Jyothi Lakshmi may not be a pick of the lot for its adult story line, which is dealt with much commercial format.

Final verdict: Controversial angle of Women Power...
