Anukshanam Movie Review exclusively at . Ram Gopal Varma and Vishnu Manchu have teamed up for a crime thriller. Let us have a look on Review of Anukshanam.

Anukshanam begins in the midnight at Hyderabad where a psycho killer Seetaram [Suriya] attempts series of murders. Gautham [Vishnu Manchu], a smart and tough DCP of Hyderabad handles the case, which seems to happen without any motive or prejudice. Very soon, they find out a pattern among the unconnected murders that the serial killer is targeting young and beautiful women. But smart Seetaram leaves no traces for Gautham. In such situation a support comes in the form of Sailaja [Revathi], an NRI psychologist who researched on Psycho killers. By the time Hyderabad cops narrow their search, misfortune strikes them in a surprising way. How well Sailaja’s research helped Gautham and team? Did they succeed in capturing Seetaram? Forms the crux of Anukshanam…

Vishnu Manchu has emerged as a keen performer in Anukshanam more than a hero. He suits the bill as a serious police officer with toned look and as a helpless ACP his expressions are revelation. His action in climax is an asset.

Suriya has given a laudable performance as psycho thriller. One will definitely feel Suriya might be a real psycho killer for a moment, especially in the scenes where he feels happy after killing the girl.

Revathi who made her come back with this film has been offered a very effective role. As a psychologist her performance is very convincing.

Madhu Shalini as Journalist created the right amounts of curiosity in viewers, one of her best performances in recent times.

Though Brahmanandam’s comedy track brings few chuckles on audiences face, the otherwise looking comic scene is not really needed in serious thriller.

Tejaswi Madivada and Navadeep have given their best among others.

Technical Analysis:

Anukshanam is one of the Ram Gopal Varma’s better films in recent times, but not best. Story line is fairly simple, only the strong screenplay, unpredictable twists and thrills can make it more interesting. Anukshanam team could have concentrated on these.

RGV’s strange camera angles are missing and we get to see traces of Kshana Kshanam and Gaayam in the form of some vintage RGV shots.

Cinematography is major plus for thrillers and coming to Anukshanam they are good for the film’s budget. The scenes shot in the nigh effect and some close up shots on lead actors have taken the movie a step higher, so as the background music.

Editing could have been crisper. Especially the first half could have been bit faster.

Anukshanam is totally a psycho crime thriller, a well made Ram Gopal Varma film with right effects of action. The ace filmmaker keeps audiences hooked with the help of some neat performances by his choice of actors.

Thanks to RGV’s experience that he could make one and half hour action thriller movie with no commercial elements except few comedy tracks by Brahmi. And viewers will not feel fed up until they come to watch romance, songs, dance and regular comedy in the film.

Final Verdict: Story of a cold-blooded-murderer. Watch if Crime-Thrillers interests you…
