Sudigadu Movie ReviewTime:10:45 am Date: Aug 24, 2012
Story Kamesh’s (Allari Naresh) wife (Hema) gives birth to a baby boy born with six-pack and just then due to some happenings Thikkal Reddy (Jayaprakash Reddy) turns villain against baby boy. In order to save him Kamesh sends the baby to Hyderabad with his mother (Kovai Sarala) and thus he gets separated from his parents. The baby named Shiva grows as a young and powerful boy with all the powers a Telugu cinema hero has like stopping the bullets, challenging time, thigh slapping et al. Shiva falls in love with Priya (Monal Gajjar) after meeting her while on the other hand, the gang members of Thikkal Reddy huts for Shiva and the latter decides to fight with them. Meanwhile Shiva challenges Priya’s father to turn rich man and how does he achieve and fight against goons is the crux. Performances Allari Naresh is at his ease in the dialogue delivery and his comic timing is extraordinary. He carried the film on his shoulders and he did the needed justice the role Shiva. He is impressive in his dances as well imitating Allu Arjun and Jr.NTR from their films. Monal Gajjar performed in her limits, Others like Jayaprakash Reddy, Shayaji Shinde, Brahmanandam, Krishna Bhagawan, Kovai Sarala and M.S.Narayana teamed up with Naresh in bringing the roof down with laugh out loud scenes. Technical Analysis Dialogues are one of the highlights of the film. Dialogues penned on all the spoofs are quite hilarious and entertaining. Music by Sri Vasanth is mediocre. Editing is crisp in the first half while it could have been better in the second half. Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao direction is good packing it with racy and entertaining screenplay but he should have worked on climax scenes. Production values are standard. Analysis As promised, director Bheemineni Srinivasa Rao has come up with an out and out comedy through this remake film. Sudigadu is packed with few of the Tollywood’s noted films like Shiva, Businessman, Prabhu Deva’s dance spoofs of Premikudu, thigh slapping sequences from Palnati Brahmanayudu, which are hilarious and are executed well. The spoof on the reality show episode on Omkar was one of the highlights of the movie that would make you laugh out loud. Allari Naresh has carried of the role with such ease that you can’t imagine any other actor in such comic roles. But the length could have been trimmed off as few of the spoofs make you bored. The early half of the film was racy and keep you glued to the screens with highly entertaining scenes but the pace drops in the second half with a bit drag and the climax could have been better. Nevertheless, Sudigadu offers ample entertainment with clever execution of the spoofs besides if you don’t look out for the logics. Final Verdict Despite few drags in second half, Sudigadu entertains you with laugh out loud scenes… User Commentsraju Sep 02, 2012 at 9:52 pm Naresh rocks
