Story

Rama Krishna Prasad (Middle aged Bala Krishna) is a powerful leader in Rayalaseema but the politicians and cops join together by hiring a contract killer from Mumbai Kittu (Balakrishna). Kittu comes to know that Ram Krishna is his father and he is in anger due to the enemies and plans to protect him. Rama Krishna Prasad works for the promises of his father Harischandra Prasad (Old Bala Krishna) who gets killed. What follows next and how does things shape up forms Adhinayakudu.

Performances

Bala Krishna as old politician in the role of Harischandra Prasad was too good but both the other roles were not suitable to Bala Krishna. The stylish has highly disappointed with the Young Bala Krishna look, the costumes, makeup and hair style was bad.

Lakshmi Rai is glamorous and hot. Her performance and glamour might go well with the mass audiences. Saloni has done a guest role for one song and she is good. Pradeep Rawat is ok, Jayasudha is fine, Brahmanandam is hilarious while Venu Madhav is regular. Others were there to fill the screens.

Technical analysis

Cinematography is fine and the film looked colorful overall, the songs Andam Aakumadi and the title songs are shot well. Kalyani Malik’s music is mediocre while the background score has elevated few of the scenes. Editing is pathetic Screenplay is inconsistent and lacks to create interest. Direction is mediocre; Paruchuri Murali wasted the opportunity of utilizing the triple roles of Bala Krishna. Production Values are standard.

Analysis

Director Paruchuri Murali came up with a powerful characterization for Bala Krishna for the politician getup and a decent storyline but the presentation was pretty average and the screenplay is weak. Paruchuri Murali seem to have totally lost grip on the subject and the scenes have no connection. The director should also have taken care on Bala Krishna’s look in the film especially the makeup and costumes for the young role were bad. The only best part of Adhinayakudu was Bala Krishna and the dialogues. Bala Krishna has done a good job in delivering the punch dialogues that would be a feast to his fans and the masses.

The first half of the film moves at a good pace with comedy and romantic scenes to attract the masses, though the actual story begins only in the second half. Bala Krishna and Brahmanandam scenes are hilarious and actress Lakshmi Rai provided the ample glamour quotient. Post interval, Adhinayakudu drags a bit with director focusing more on the Bala Krishna’s routine dialogues and violence scenes. Fans who expect such powerful dialogues and violent scenes from their favorite star will be satisfied while it might not appeal to the regular audiences.

Final Verdict

Strictly for fans!!!
