Film: Rabhasa

Starring: NTR,Samantha, Pranitha, Brahmanandam

Director: Santosh Srinivas

Producer: Bellamkonda Suresh

Banner: Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner

Music: Thaman

NTR and Santhosh Srinivas have teamed up for Rabhasa film produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner with Samantha, Praneetha as heroines. Thaman worked as music composer and this is his fourth combo with NTR after Brindavanam, Baadshah and Ramayya Vastavayya.

Thaman has always delivered impressive numbers for NTR and there are good expectations on Rabhasa album. Here is the Rabhasa music review.

Maar Salaam – 3.25/5

Artist: Succhit Suresan

Lyricist: Ramajogayya Sastry

Rabhas album starts off with solo track Maar Salaam, high on beats and Suchit Suresan does his best while Thaman doesn’t experiment and opts for his regular style giving scope for NTR’s dances for his introduction song. Ramajogayya Sastry’s lyrics bring in patriotic feel to the song.

Rakasi Rakasi – 4.25/5

Artist: NTR

Lyricist: Srimani

NTR surprises everyone with his style of modulation in crooning this impressive number, quite different from what he has sung earlier. Thaman’s tune is catchy and different while Srimani’s lyrics are contemporary yet witty. Rakasi Rakasi is instantly-likeable and surely the best song of the album.

Garam Garam Chilaka – 3/5

Artists: Sri Krishna, Deepu, Bindu, and Parnika

Lyricist: Srimani

Garam Garam Chilaka is yet another mass number of Thaman’s style with the usual techno beats. Srimani fills the songs with mass lyrics. An average number to listen but NTR’s dances can make it a good watch.

Hawa Hawa 3.25/5

Artists: Karthik, Megha

Lyricist: Ananth Sriram

Next up is Hawa Hawa is a soothing romantic song penned beautifully by Ananth Sriram. Karthik and Megha’s soulful voices infused with the right blend of musical instruments takes the listeners to a different level.

Dam Damare 3/5

Artists: Simha, Sooraj Santosh, Nivas, Deepthi Madhuri

Lyricist: Srimani

The album ends with Dam Damare, a festive family song that has neat lyrics by Srimani. Simha, Sooraj Santosh, Nivas and Deepthi Madhuri crooned for this colorfully shot song. Dam Damare reminds us of several other Thaman’s earlier composed songs. The song may appeal visually.

Final Say

Thaman hasn’t experimented much and played safe keeping the commercial entertainer tag in mind with a mix of mass and romantic songs with heavy beats giving scope for dances. Undoubtedly, NTR crooned Rakasi Rakasi stands out while the rest of the songs grow on you on repeated listen.
