The star actress Anushka is touted to be playing the lead in the remake of Bollywood awards winning film Dirty Picture.

Vidya Balan has won the National award for her role in Dirty Picture and the latest buzz is that Anushka may be roped in for Tamil and Telugu versions. There were rumor mills earlier that, Nikitha would be zeroed in for the role. But latest we hear is that original makers of Dirty Picture are keen to have Anushka in the remake of their venture, seeing her earlier performances in Arundhati, Vedam et al.

However Anushka has not signed the dotted line yet, as the actress is busy with Selvaraghavan directing Tamil films Irandam Ulagam with Arya, Thaandavam with Vikram. The diva is also busy with Telugu film Damarukam.
