Tollywood has come across excellent movies based on love. They are really heart touching and love-filled movies.  The actors of  telugu film industry have created great magic in some of the love stories which are highly enjoyed by all generations.

Here are some of the top hit movies with the theme of love, for you as Valentine’s Day special…

Devadasu: One of the most memorable love stories is Devadas. Although there were many actors who acted in other versions A.N.R’s ‘Devadas’ is considered as an ultimate one. The story ends on a sad note and by seeing A.N.R and Savitri in their roles one can’t come out of the film with out shedding tears.

Premabhishekam: The moment we strike the name of the movie, we’ll strike ANR’s acting who has lived in that role. He is said to be the romantic hero of tollywood and who has started the trend of these love stories.The movie was the biggest hits of tollywood that ran for 365 plus days continuously in theatres.

Marocharitra: K.Balachander’s directorial with Kamal Haasan and Saritha in the leads is a trend setter love story. The story revolves around a simple Telugu,Tamil neighboring girl and boy falling in love  and later faces hard consequences. The story ends in a tragedy but was one of the successful films.

Seethakokachilaka: The movie is all about a Hindu boy and a Christian girl who falls in love and finally succeeds in their love by facing lot of struggles. The film is a beautiful love story that has a melodious music by Ilayaraja.

Geethanjali: It can be said as the all-time romantic love story of telugu films. The story is about a young couple, who is ill and already knew that they’ll die soon, but both meets unfortunately and falls in love. They accept their lives as it takes. The film has excellent score and soundtrack composed by Illayaraja are heard till date

Prema: Venkatesh, Revathi starrer that was released in1988 was a super hit film. The film starts as a cute, romantic love story but ends on a sad note. This is yet another Ilayaraja’s musical venture which has amazing music.

Prema lekha: It has Ajith and Devayani in the lead roles. The movie is a beautiful and innovative story with a theme that love borns without seeing each other too. The couple does not meet each other till the end of the story but conveys their feelings through letters. The story of the film is the main highlight for its success.

Tholi Prema: The super-hit movie is a good-break in Pawan Kalyan’s career. Director, Karunakaran has taken the theme of “Love at first sight” in the film and made the film excellently. Karunakaran also conveyed a message at the end of the film that youngsters should also have a goal and reach that, apart from succeeding in love.

Nuvvostanante Nenodhantaana: The movie is stated as a feel-good love story. The story is all about love between a London-settled NRI and a village girl who fights for their love and finally succeeds in their love. Siddharth and Trisha looked great as a pair in the film.

Magadheera: Raja mouli’s directorial, the ever-time biggest hit of telugu cinema industry deals with the rebirths. The couple who dies in 1609 by failing in their love takes rebirth after 400 years to achieve their love again. Rajamouli handled the story exceptionally well. Magadheera is also considered as the highest grosser till date.
