The summer is here and the holiday season has already started. To cash on these two holiday months, the Tollywood top heroes are all set to reach the big-screens with their mass as well as cool films to entertain the audiences the most.

Majority of the releases being the mass entertainers this time is noticeable. Jr.NTR’s Dammu, Bala Krishna’s Adhinayakudu, Ravi Teja’s Daruvu, Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh, Prabhas’s Rebel and of course the recently released Ram Charan’s Racha are the major mass entertainers of summer 2012. Apart from these, Energetic Star Ram’s stylish romantic entertainer Endhukante Premanta and Star director Rajamouli’s Eega, Gautham Menon’s Yeto Vellipoindi Manasu are also most eagerly awaited films.

It’s not new for our Tollywood heroes chanting mass and commercial entertainers, and the trend keeps continuing as long as the Telugu audiences keep welcoming newly packaged old stories precisely old wine in a new bottle. Ram Charan’s Racha is one example for it.

Summer 2012 has begun with the biggest commercial release, Ram Charan’s Racha and the Mega Power Star has hit the bull’s eye this time in terms of collections. Racha has made a share of 26.92 crores in AP & Karnataka in its first week which is a huge figure. Ram Charan who has faced disaster result through urbane entertainer Orange has opted for a safe mass entertainer teaming up with Sampath Nandi and the perfect timing release of a long weekend has brought miracles to Racha unit. The mega fans were quite happy for showcasing Ram Charan in a way they are looking out for while the critics slammed the film for its regular content. Next up is Yuvaratna Bala Krishna’s Adhinayakudu expected to release in April. Paruchuri Murali directed Adhinayakudu showcases Bala Krishna in triple roles of three generations, a grandfather, a father and a son. The grandfather’s role as a politician is the most powerful one. The film shows Jayasudha, Sukanya and Lakshmi Rai pairing opposite the three. Saloni and Lakshmi Rai will provide ample glamour quotient. Despite Adhinayakudu earning positive reports from inside sources, the film has been in news for wrong reasons regarding the financial troubles. The movie produced by ML Kumar Chowdhary of Sri Keerthi Combines has been in production from long time but still failing to get the release date.

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is gearing up to provide full-fledged entertainment this summer with a socio-fantasy film Daruvu. Ravi Teja, who is quick at wrapping up his films has completed Daruvu shoot with in a short period and entered the summer race. Siva directed the film and Burugupally Sivarama Krishna produced this socio-fantasy genre that has ample commercial elements. Tapsee played the leading lady. All of a sudden, Daruvu is enjoying huge craze due to a pretty good trailer. Ravi Teja’s mark mass entertainment can be seen in the trailers. Daruvu is gearing up for release on May 4. Ravi Teja has not scored a hit post Mirapakaya and Daruvu seem to the one to get clicked at the Box-office.

Young Tiger Jr.NTR and mass movies expert Boyapati Srinu has teamed up for Dammu that turned out to be one of the most awaited films of the season. The actor-director combination has raised the expectations on Dammu and being an out mass entertainer, NTR’s fans are awaiting for it. NTR for the first time paired up with actresses Trisha and Karthika while Alexander Vallabha produced it on Creative Commercials banner. Boyapati has knack of understanding mass pulse and he is currently in top league directors with 100% success rate while NTR has immense mass fan base and he is extremely talented in mass dialogue delivery and of course the dances which can pull heavy crowds to theaters. Dammu has the right mix of action, sentiment, dances, comedy, romance and glamour quotient. Hope Dammu releasing on April 27 lives up to the expectations.

Here comes yet another awaited film of this summer Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh. Power Star fans have been eagerly waiting for an out and out mass role from their favorite star from many years and director Harish Shankar seized the offer. Mirapakaya director who proved his mettle has shaped up an out and out mass role and penned a good number of mass dialogues for Pawan Kalyan. Ganesh Babu is producing this Dabangg Telugu remake while Harish Shankar made ample changes to the script taking just the main plot. Shruti Haasan stepped into the shoes of Sonakshi Sinha and this time it’s a new and distinct role for the lady unlike her earlier urbane roles. Already Devi Sri Prasad has scored rocking tunes and Pawan Kalyan will be seen dancing for these rocking mass beats. Malaika Arora will shake her leg for the Telugu version of Munni song that goes ‘Kevvu Keka..’ which turned hot favorite to all. Gabbar Singh has all the commercial elements and looks like we are in for a visual treat.

It’s been a year Young Rebel Star Prabhas has reached the screens. After impressing the audiences in classy roles in Darling and Mr.Perfect, Prabhas has chosen a mass entertainer titled Rebel in Raghava Lawrence direction. Tamanna and Deeksha Seth are roped in to provide the glamour quotient in the film. Rebel is being made lavishly and to be precise, the film produced by J.Bhagawana and J.Pulla Rao is the highest budget film so far in Prabhas career. As per the director, Rebel is a tailor made script for Prabhas and the director cum music director of the film incorporated all the needed mass elements in Rebel. The major shooting of Rebel wrapped up and is gearing up for a release this summer.

Energetic Star Ram and Fair beauty Tamanna’s youthful love entertainer Endhukante Premanta is one of the notable film releases this summer. Writer Kona Venkat is debuting as an actor with a negative role in the film. Love stories expert director Karunakaran has crafted the film with a cool story in an ultra stylish way and the lead actors are sure to look their best in the film.

While all the above releases are noticed due to the star actors, here comes the film Eega which is making huge pre-release buzz for its filmmaker and the star director SS Rajamouli. Despite not having star cast, Eega right from the launch has earned good craze since it’s a Rajamouli’s brand film. Just like his earlier films, the Magadheera director has revealed the storyline and as the title says Eega story revolves around a house-fly which seeks for a previous-birth revenge on the antagonist. Featuring Nani, Samantha and Sudeep in the leads, Eega is a graphical extravaganza and the makers allocated majority of its budget for visual effects. The film will be released in bilingual versions in Telugu and Tamil. We are sure Eega is worth all the hype and it would be the coolest summer release 2012.
